Casemet Cubo E protects the measuring equipment of Valio's milk trucks

Casemet Mikkeli manufactures a Cubo E enclosure that protects the measuring equipment of Valio's milk trucks. The enclosure can be found behind the tailgate of the milk truck, where other milk collection technology is also located. The measuring equipment in the enclosure can be used to monitor/regulate e.g. the amount of milk, its temperature and flow rate. In addition, the equipment is used to control the operation of the milk truck's hydraulics, sample cabinet and, among other things, the sample valve.

The milk collection trucks move about 21 hours a day, every day of the year, and collect about 27 million litres of milk per year per car with about 250 collector drivers.

The features of the Cubo E enclosure chosen for milk trucks offer durable protection and a wide range of operating features. The enclosure is made of stainless steel and it is customized according to the customer's needs with customer-specific dimensions and openings. Cubo E's IP code ensures that the enclosure is resistant to moisture and washing. The enclosure has a hinged door with a latch, which is well suited for the purpose of the enclosure. The equipment can be easily inspected and maintained. "Here, the enclosure has been customized with a polycarbonate window for the equipment's barcode scanner." says Ari Karjalainen, Sales Manager at Casemet Group.

The finished steel enclosures are sent from Casemet to Pasielektro Oy, where they are electromechanically assembled. After that, the enclosure is ready to be installed on milk trucks. Casemet has long collaborated with Pasielektro Oy, which is responsible for the electromechanical assembly of the enclosures. "Our cooperation has deepened even more over the years. Behind a successful partnership are flexibility and listening to the customer's needs," Ari describes.

"We work closely with Casemet, and we aim to get the enclosures and sheet metal parts as ready as possible for us. Enclosures are constantly changing as components change and more functions are added to the devices being manufactured. It is especially important to us that Casemet is able to react to changes on a fast schedule and that we receive the enclosures exactly as we want," says Toni Katainen, CEO of Pasielektro Oy.
