Technology and investments
Our factories have 11,000 m² of production space in Mikkeli and 4,600 m² in Pärnu. Casemet invests heavily in technology, approximately 5–7% annually.
We continuously develop our personnel’s expertise, machinery, and the automation and digitalisation of production.
Automatization
Automated production lines enable multiple process stages to be combined into a single workflow.
Robotics
We utilise robotics, for example, in new welding and bending robot cells, where products can be programmed flexibly through agile programming.
Digitalization
We have developed our production planning system, improving the accuracy of production schedules. In addition, the digitalisation of product design has reduced the time required for product development.
Recent machinery investments
The new Salvagnini S4 + P4 automated production line at the Mikkeli factory includes raw material storage as well as punching and bending capabilities. The line brings new flexibility to demanding customer projects.
The Prima Power CG1530 combination machine automates sheet cutting and forming. It is integrated with a Night Train automated storage system and loading and stacking robots, making it fully autonomous. The machine is capable of punching, laser cutting, forming, and threading. The system covers approximately 300 m².
The Yaskawa robotic laser welding cell automates and accelerates the production of our own enclosure products.
In Pärnu, the Salvagnini S1 combination machine automates sheet cutting and forming and is integrated with an automated storage system.
Pärnu also has two new bending robot cells. Pärnu’s machinery investments have also received EU co-financing. More information about the projects here.
The machinery investments made in recent years are part of Casemet’s broader development programme, which has received partial funding from the European Union.
