This year, Casemet is celebrating its 10th anniversary. At the same time, we are also celebrating another important milestone: 10 years of partnership with Mikkelin Jukurit! This long-standing partnership brings together two growth stories and one shared direction.
Daily achievements matter both in the business world and on the ice. At the same time, both partners keep a strong focus on future goals. As they say, there is no room for simply standing still. Behind both growth stories lies the same desire to develop, improve and always aim higher.
Casemet’s first ten years have included many significant milestones. Over the years, we have built our strategy, developed and expanded our operations, invested in modern technology and, above all, maintained a strong desire to learn and grow.
The story of Jukurit dates back to the 1970s – the same decade in which Casemet’s Mikkeli factory was established. Jukurit rose to the top of Finnish ice hockey during its years in Mestis, followed by impressive performances in the Finnish national league, Liiga. The team’s ambition to grow, develop and win is truly admirable.
Liiga’s Super Season 2026 and a Visit from the Jukurit Players
The now traditional visit from the Jukurit players was once again a highly anticipated event at the Casemet Mikkeli factory!
Casemet’s sponsored players, Jukurit goaltenders Matthieu Herpin and Jesper Myrenberg, visited our factory together with Jukurit’s Sales Director Ville Hyvärinen to meet our employees. During the visit, we heard the latest thoughts and expectations from the team and players as the new Liiga Super Season got underway.
The 2026–27 Liiga Super Season features a record-breaking 17 teams competing for the Finnish championship. This is the largest number of teams in Liiga’s history, making the season an exceptional one.
During the regular season, each team will face every other team four times – twice at home and twice away. A record 544 games will be played throughout the season, meaning 64 games per team. This is also the highest number of games in Liiga history.
That means 64 regular-season games are ahead for Jukurit as well during the 2026–27 season.
The much-anticipated visit from Jukurit was rounded off with encounters with the players, a factory tour of our production facilities, and a little head-to-head competition between the goaltenders. This time, however, the action took place on a tabletop hockey game!
